Many times, individuals may not fully understand the implications or limitations of polygraph results. 

We get calls from individuals who are trying to prove to a partner they have been faithful or better said have not had sexual contact with another person other than the partner.  The individual will submit to and undergo a series of tests to confirm their claim of fidelity and secure their partner's trust.  The individual will pass the polygraph examination and take a report showing the results to their partner in order to resolve any lingering doubts or concerns.  Once the partner reviews the report, they immediately attack the polygraph and will not accept the results of the polygraph examination.

The bottom line, in relationship situations, there is absolutely nothing one can do to change another person's feelings simply because the person does not want to be in a relationship with the person who just subjected him or herself to a polygraph examination.  In that situation, it is best to save that money and move on in life.
